Stephen Monroe Cilley
The 1855 NYS Census shows Stephen, age 55 boarding in Warrensburg, Warren, NY. He has resided in Warrensburg for 17 years.
November 11, 1837 - Stephen Cilley bought 250acres in Bolton, Warren, NY from Joseph Russell. This land was located on the Schron River. His intentions were to build a boom and saw mill.
December 2, 1842 Stephen & Serena Cilley sold one-half of the above land to Elbridge K. Cilley of Bolton.  Subsequently Elbridge sold this land back to Serena and Stephen.
October 20, 1846 Stephen sold one-half of this parcel of land to Benjamin Cilley.
November 20, 1854 the land was sold to Moses Cilley.
In 1856 Cerena sells, quit claims her rights.
June 8, 1859 Serena owes the Warren County $62.17.
July 10, 1860 Serena owes the Warren County an additional $72.18. This would appear to be unpaid
taxes.
July 10, 1862 the land was seized by Warren County.
At a Public Sale on May 17, 1862 the land was struck off to Moses Cilley for $170.00 high bidder.

The 1850 Federal Census shows Elbridge age 30, living in Warrensburg, Warren, NY with his wife Sylvia  age 24, and children Mary E age 6,, Benjamin age 4, and Adeline age 7/12. Elbridge is a farmer. He was  born in NH and all others were born in NY. Sylvia can not read or write.
The 1855 NYS Census shows Elbridge R., age 54, living in Warrensburg, Warren, NY. He lives with his  wife Sylvia A., age 29 and children Mary E., age 11, Benjamin, age 9 and Franklin, age 2. Elbridge's  birthplace is New Hampshire, Sylvia's Washington county NY and all three children Warren county NY.
Elbridge is a farmer and has resided in Warrensburg for 15 years.
The 1860 Federal Census shows Elbridge, age 39, living in Warrensburg, Warren, NY with his wife Sylvia,  age 34, and their children Mary E., age 14, Benjamin, age 13, Franklin, age 7, Fremont, age 3 and Adeline,  age 1. Elbridge is a farmer with real estate value of $300.00 and person estate value of $50.00. He was  born in New Hampshire.
The 1865 NYS Census shows Elbridge age 44, living in a framed house, valued at $25.00, in Warrensburg, Warren, NY. He lives with his wife Sylvia A. age 40 and their children Benjamin age 15, Franklin age 12, Fremont age 7, and Adeline age 5. Elbridge was born in NH. Sylvia A. was born in Washington county.
All others were born in Warren county. Sylvia A. has 6 children. Elbridge is a farmer. and owns his farm.
Benjamin was in the Army.

Also in the household are Anna, age 16, Harriet, age 19, Fanny, age 6 & Isabella, age 3. These are children from Nancy's First marriage. Elbridge lives in Bolton, Warren, NY. Elbridge is listed as a farmer. His real estate is valued at $1500. His personal estate is valued at $500.
The 1875 NYS census lists Elbridge Cilley age 54, living in a wood house valued at $50.00, with wife Nancy (2nd) age 46, and daughter Adeline age 16, and sons Fremont age 14, and Stephen age 4. Also in the household are Harriet age 18, Fanny age 11 and Isabella age 8. These are children from Nancy's first marriage. Elbridge lives in Bolton, Warren, NY. The 1880 Federal Census finds Elbridge age 48 living with his second wife Nancy Hill Bidwell age 50 and their son Stephen age 9. Also in the household are Anna age 16, and Isabelle Bidwell age 13, daughters of Nancy from her first marriage. They live in Bolton, Warren, NY. Elbridge is a farmer.
The 1892 NYS Census shows Elbridge age 71, and wife Nancy age 63 living with his son Fremont in
Bolton, Warren, NY. Elbridge is a farmer.
The 1900 Federal census finds Albert (Elbridge) age 78 living in Bolton, Warren, NY. He lives with his daughter Adeline age 40, and her husband Benjamin age 42 and their son Franklin age 12. Lawrence and Adeline have been married for 21 years. They have one child. Elbridge is widowed. All were born in NY as were their parents except Elbridge whose parents were born in NH. Lawrence is a tanner who owns his farm. Franklin attends school. All can read and write.

Benjamin was born in New Hampshire and has resided in Bolton for 15 years. N. was born in Vermont and has resided in Bolton for 3 years. C. was born in New Hampshire and has resided in Bolton for 15 years. Benjamin is a farmer.
The 1880 Federal Census shows Benjamin, age 59 living in Ft. Ann, Washington, NY. He lives with his wife Miriam, age 55 and sons Wells, age 25 and daughter Ida M., age 20 and a grandson Gideon age 2 months. Benjamin and Wells are farm laborers. Benjamin and Wells were born in NH, Miriam in VT and Ida M. & Gideon in NY.
